I used the majority of this pouch making iced tea for today. It’s a really nice tasting iced black tea with some depth to it. Although I do think the prickly pear fruit notes come through much more when it is made hot. I was definitely not expecting this to be as good of an iced tea as it was. I would recommend adding some lemon or fruit to it if you are making this one cold.

I was craving a cup of just classic earl grey but sadly couldn’t find any. So I saw this and figured I’d try and get a few more teas finished off before the new year.

While this was steeping it smelled just like a Thai tea bag. You know those kits that have the tea and then often comes with a condensed milk packet. This smells like the tea before the condensed milk is added. I used to actually make just the tea and drink it… This was a weird association but I’m still getting it to a lesser extent in the steeped tea. A strange yet pleasant tasting cuppa overall.

April Sipdown Alphabet Challenge: “F” Tea
I only had two F teas and this is the one that was already opened. It’s sweet with a toasted grain flavor. The sweetness resembles dried fruit but I couldn’t say what type specifically. I over-steeped this and it still tasted really nice. I like this one better than the Adagio Formosa Oolong I tried last year.

I’m not sure what happened with my earlier note of this tea but in this cup, I definitely am tasting the lavender. This bergamot in this tea is strong and probably too much for some people. Between the strong lavender and bergamot in this cup it comes across as a bit too much. It’s slightly soapy in taste but I also am tasting orange oddly enough. So maybe my first note wasn’t a fluke after all?

It’s funny how the description describes this as a ‘light’ bergamot tea. I think most people would prefer this one with milk as it really balances everything out. I probably should have tried this one with milk sooner because it’s really good that way.

So somehow one of my family members accidentally ordered two tea subscriptions instead of one. By the time I pointed it out to them it had already shipped. So this is from the Black Tea box from Simple Loose Leaf. Of the bunch, this was the one I was most excited for.
I actually didn’t have an earl grey in my cupboard.

The dry leaf of this one is Strong and smells a lot like the orange-scented wood polish. This is odd since the ingredient list doesn’t list citrus just lavender, vanilla, and bergamot. Once brewed it actually smells really yummy so much so that I keep sniffing the cup. Taste-wise I’m quite enjoying it but it’s nothing like how they describe it. I taste no lavender at all just a very citrusy tasting bergamot flavor that’s distinctly orange. It’s a really yummy earl grey just not the flavor profile that is described or what the ingredients listed imply.

Really bizarre, I expected another citrus-y herbal tea but it tastes like aspartame and spice, very sweet! Just a very unusual flavor, reminds me of taking a zinc tablet.

Tastes a little like how Paris (the tea) smells. The loose leaf smelled bad though… The flavor not super strong but mildly pleasant.

Really weak flavor, especially for a chai blend. May have been better served iced?

Strong citrus, a little more herbal taste would have made it good for sore throat!
