Lipton

Some how my cupboard has gotten very caffeinated. Even my fruity teas have a black base. Well, that’s wonderful unless I want to sleep at night. So I’ve begun trying to stock up a bit with portable tea (bags and sachets) for when I’m out. Not a lot of blackberry flavor, quite a bit of hibiscus, vanilla sort of hidden. With some stevia, well okay, a lot of stevia, it was passable. I used my special magic cure for hibiscus – my french vanilla stevia drops (from the health food store). They fix just about anything. Obviously, since I added vanilla, I tasted the vanilla more. It brings more of a blackberry flavor. This will still be okay for a to-go tea but I wouldn’t buy it again.

So, I’ve still been kinda down over the breakup. I still haven’t received my new water boiler or teapots in the mail…So, yeah, the only tea I’ve had in the past few days has been this stuff. I gave it a pretty poor rating, as it is pretty bland and has citric acid added as a “preservative” ( you are allowed to add stuff like this and it’s not technically considered a preservative even though I believe this is added for that purpose). But I’d still recommend this as it’s a pretty good drink to grab when your choices are limited.

Once I get my new teaware, I’m planning to try all of my love/romance themed samples just for irony’s sake.

If anyone has a good recommendation on TV series I might want to watch as my breakup therapy, please tell me your suggestions! I watched HIMYM to get over the last one. I have started Veronica Mars, and although I’m enjoying it, too many of the episodes I’ve seen so far seem to have the takeaway message that “you never really know anyone” or “you can’t trust anyone” and it’s hitting a little too close to home right now.

I love my pineapple teas even though they often seem to disappoint. After trying it once I decided to try another cup with a longer steep. It brought out the pineapple which is what I wanted. I added a little monk’s fruit. It’s quite yummy! This will be a great bedtime tea and I think it will be good cold brewed. I love it that Lipton’s is stepping up their quality and choices.

Smells exactly like a lemon lolly. From the smell, I was expecting a sweet, lemon-y flavour which would be okay to drink. First sip, exactly as it smelt, sweet aftertaste, fake lemonness, drinkable but not something I would get if it wasn’t free from the dining room. It leaves my mouth with a cheap tea aftertang, like I can taste whatever they bagged it on.
Maybe it would be okay if I were really sick, or with a bag of something else (I’m thinking peppermint), but for now it’s just ‘meh, I’ll drink it’.

Having this while on holiday and staying with some friends of mine in America. If I think about this in terms of caramel, then yes, I can really taste it. However, overall this reminds me too much of coffee. I tried adding milk, I think it added to the caramel-i-ness, but not to the anti-coffee-ness. I think it may be better with sugar, but I’m not sure.
My friends apparently like it, but it’s not quite for me. Ah well — we all have our own preferences, yes?

Feels very watered down. Mixed it with a black breakfast tea which did the trick. Good spice and kick to it, though. Add milk and sugar for sure.

This is 1 of my favorite tea especially in the morning! The scent is magnificent and I must say that it taste really smooth u can almost taste all the fruits in it!

Some days, a cup of regular-old, commercial, Rainforest Alliance Certified, nearly-ubiquitous, and dirt-cheap Lipton black tea with nothing added (not even caffeine) will suffice.

There’s something to be said for simplicity, I believe.

Not thehighest quality tea in the world, but its cheap and it sure is tasty!

This is without competition my favorite bagged tea! The tea is so refreshing and clean… I have no idea what dragon fruit taste like, but the melon note is what I fall in love with in this cup EVERY TIME! I just hate that this tea has become extremely hard to find in my local stores anymore. I now have to order it OVERPRICED off of Amazon. Either way I will buy this tea until I can no longer find it!

Refreshing

I really hate you, Lipton. Or better despise you, Unilever for your take on making marketing-oriented artificially flavoured beverages which you call tea and ruining the name of an old brand.

I guess me being willing to taste this proves I am NOT a tea snob. It´s supermarket fare, but so are others I enjoy : Gorreana, a locally produced brand which is very good; and so is Twinings and often I can find Ahmads which I like, and always cheap humble Tetley which is pretty honest tea and nice. But this, Lipton, was this tea “designed” in a lab by computers operated by robots? Or by chemical engineers which never tasted tea or real peaches in their life but got a table somewhere this chemical is supposed to take like peaches, this like mango, let´s add lots of those two?

This is tea for people who drink and love Lipton´s “iced tea”. Which for some reason is really popular in my country, where hardly anybody except maybe a few more specialized cafés make iced tea and few people drink tea hot. The Lipton stuff filled a gap somehow, something to drink which has no carbonation (which lots of people do not like) but is relatively intense, and very sugary. You will find it in every café and supermarket. Made with tea extract, flavouring and no tea leaves or real fruit ever.

This smells like a mix of their peach iced tea and their mango iced tea, a very familiar smell. The body is almost unexistant, you can hardly notice the tea, except there is this hint of mustiness. It´s like somebody managed to remove the sugar from the iced tea and then heated it. Like drinking hot tang or some other instant drink.

I really truly hated this. And am mad at me for expecting better, and for this, this!, being a bestselling brand. Yep just 2 euros a 25 teabags box, but lots of other companies manage to produce decent or better than decent tea for this sort of price. And people might not know any better. But to produce artificial reeking stuff like that, oh hope you are happy with the profit Unilever because proud you should not be.

I’ve got a lot of this package left, and I kind of want to finish it!! So I rate this tea somewhere in the middle, not my favorite, but I do not dislike it.

We are getting a major storm tonight. It went from around 40 degrees this afternoon, and right now it is 60 degrees outside!! We’ve been averaging really low temperatures, like 7 degrees to 15 degrees. Its just starting to warm up today, but we are getting a major storm. Its going to rain all night long. Yesterday I had a really bad headache, it feels better today. I’m drinking tea to relax, and to calm me down.

The winds are going to be really bad tonight. The storm is starting at 10pmish, and it is 8:35pm right now. I hope we don’t lose power. I have one working flash light. My mom let me know about tonight’s storm, and I checked www.weather.com

I might not go anywhere tomorrow, the wind will be really bad. But we are not expecting a tornado. I’m done studying for tonight, so I might read for awhile and drink my tea.

We had a 3 hour window of a nice day today, so my Uncle took me to TJs and Michaels because I had a coupon. I got iced tea, which I love and breakfast.
