Description: Dragon Well Tea has a long history of more than one thousand years. As early as the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD) Dragon Well Tea was recorded in the first tea book in China’s history – ChaJing (the Classic of Tea). In Ming dynasty (1368-1644 AD) it was named as Dragon Well Tea and became more and more famous. Now it is the most famous tea in China and being sold all over the world. Dragon Well Tea is a type of green tea. When it is soaked in hot water it appears as a bright green color with special fragrance. It is picked in early April, when every branch of the tea tree has only one sprout and one leaf. When they are steeped, the sprout looks like a tipped spear and the leaf like a flag. Modern research shows that Dragon Well is good for people with high blood pressure, diabetes, may lower the chance of cancer, and is a natural way to refresh oneself. People enjoy Dragon Well because of its fragrance, beautiful appearance, health benefits and its long history related to our culture. This tea is a top tier tea, made from the bud and first leaf of each tea plant, resulting in an excellent quality tea.

Taste: Dragon Well has a soothing aroma and flavor. The taste is smooth, delicate and highly refreshing with a sweet floral aftertaste.

How to brew: We recommend using glass-based or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 grams of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for every 150ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 70°c (158°F) to 80°c (176°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing. In order to maintain the original flavor of tea, we suggest not using the tea leaves more than 3-4 times at most.
