24 Tasting Notes
It doesn’t have the rich, deep complexity as loose leaf, but it’s not bad for an inexpensive bagged tea. Initially I feared that I had over steeped this one, but the flavour was still mild-strong with not a hint of bitterness after over 10 mins. Neither the chocolate nor the mint are overpowering – it has a good balance.
There’s likely chocolate mint teas that are cleaner, crisper and superior to this. Still, for the price and the lack of bitterness, it makes for a nice, convenience, on-the-go tea.

Preparation
I’ve put off getting this tea for a while cause a nutty tea just seemed like such a strange concept to me. But the other day, after smelling it at the store I picked up a cup and WOW – it was soooooo good. So of course, I had to pick up some for myself. Fast forward to now, I’m sitting here sipping on a mug of Forever Nuts, thinking about how the flavours make this is such an appropriate fall tea. Outside my window, the falling leaves are all golden, orange and red.
I brewed this one for quite a short time on the first brew (4 mins, the low end of their recommended steeping time). The flavour is quite strong (which I prefer); delicious. It’s like indulging on an apple crisp without the calories. And the best part is: you can have it all day; all the time! This was also really pretty to look at as it steeped as it turned a pink-red hue.
On the second brew, I still got a strong flavour, slightly less than the first (and a bit lighter in color), but still tasty. The strength may be because a) I didn’t steep it for very long the first time and b) I left it steeping for a really long time. It’s definitely lost some of the nutty almond-ness, so the apple flavour is dominant.
This is one that I will be repurchasing for sure!
First brewing (4 mins)
Look: brilliant deep pink – red
Smell: nutty almond, apple crisp, toasty almond
Additions: white sugar
Second brewing (~15 min)
Smell: apple
Look: still strong pink/light red color
Additions: brown sugar
Taste: apple, apple crisp/pie
On an random note, does anybody eat this tisane? I’ll admit that I couldn’t help but snack on it hehe..
Preparation
my bird and i will often share a cup of this while he snacks on the almonds and apples from my infuser. it’s one of my favourites for that and many other reasons. also, i love making a forever nuts latte first thing in the morning in a clear mug. definitely gets people curious about what you’re drinking :)
When I first smelled this tea prepared it seemed like something really familiar. At first I couldn’t quite figure out what is smelled like and then BAMM! – it hit me – it smells like vanilla yogurt, with an oolong scent underneath it. It’s not like a sugary sweet vanilla that you may smell in baked goods, but there’s a sort of tangy kick to it. It may sound strange but it just smells so darn good.
Now, as for the taste, if you like stronger flavored teas, this may disappoint slightly. For a flavored tea, I thought the vanilla-yogurt (is the yogurt scent from the orchid?) would be more present, but I mainly taste only the oolong.
On the second steeping, the aroma has lost most of the vanilla-yogurtness, and the tea tastes like a weak oolong.
Overall, it is pleasantly clean, but not one that I would go out of my way to repurchase.
Preparation
The recommended steeping time for this tea is 1 min (light), 2 min (strong) and 3 min (with milk).
I steeped it for a bit longer than their longest recommended steeping time without any hint of bitterness. I also added a bit of milk. When smelling the tea, the roundedness from the black cherry is present, though there definitely isn’t an overpowering artificial cherry smell. The tea is pleasant; a black tea with subtle cherry notes that makes the tea interesting.
I know that some people aren’t that impressed with this tea because the cherry flavour is so mild. For me, it is a good alternative when I want something a bit different than a plain breakfast black tea.
Preparation
The chai taste is barely there to begin with, and when prepared by the instructed method (1/4 c water, 1/2 c milk), I can only vaguely taste the tea. Additionally, this tea does not have the rich vanilla flavour I was hopping for. With a long steep, I can feel the spice at the back of my throat, but the overall flavour is highly lacking.
Summary: Very weak. Lacks in vanilla and typical chai spices. Would not recommend or repurchase
