8 Tasting Notes
I have bought this tea for years now. It is actually the tea that got me hooked on tea. I tried it as well at an Aveda appointment years ago and was so surprised and obsessed with the flavors that I bought I box. I now own a bottle of the looseleaf version and each cup is as good as the last. I hate licorice candy or licorice flavored anything but the licorice in this tea is what makes it so addicting. It’s adds a great sweetness that tastes earthy instead of artificial. But my favorite part is the addicting aftertaste in your mouth after a sip. Just YUM
Preparation
I’m a HUGE chai fan and this is a great chai mix. It’s spicy and sweet with a huge depth of flavors. It has some citrus notes, peppery hit and a burst a cinnamon. When I first made this tea I brewed for recommended time and found it very weak. Maybe I just like my teas strong but I let the tea brew for a long while and enjoyed it much more. I add a bit a sugar because I think it helps bring out the flavors.
I LOVE this tea. It has a light, yummy peach flavor with a hint of citrus and chamomile. The dry tea looks and smells amazing and when steeped it smells just as wonderful. It has a natural sweetness but I still add a touch of a sugar to enhance the peachy flavor. I love it mixed with Teavana’s jasmine dragon pearls.
