289 Tasting Notes
A delicious and smooth ripe, one of the best dayi ripes I’ve tasted. Like a typical deep earthy dayi product, only better.
Indeed. I am indebted to the person who sent me a sample who shall remain unnamed. How do the other years stack up? I’d like to get a cake but that 2009 is fetching $100 from dragon tea house.
A very nice smooth ripe from puerhshop, a quality offering from the Boyou factory. A touch of fruitiness initially, followed by several steeps of earthy deep richness. A great bargain at $18, and a good one to start with if you are beginning your puerh journey.
The description is spot on for this one. It has a low level of smoke that is apparent, some earthiness and tobacco notes, with a bit of aged flavor. This isn’t my cup of tea, but I think many of you will appreciate it, especially if you like Xiaguan in general or the White Whale in particular.
Stronger than most other Dayi.
