This is a tasty ripe from www.pu-erhtea.com or Awazon Puerh Tea. It started out bittersweet with a fair amount of fermentation flavor. This bitterness slowly transformed into sweetness over the course of ten steeps. Not sure when the bitterness subsided and the sweet note took over but it did. There were some notes of chocolate in there but not the strongest. And it did develop something of a fruity flavor towards the end of my ten steeps. It would certainly have gone a few more steeps but I was using a big 160ml teapot so ten was enough for me.

I steeped this ten times in a 160ml Ruyao Teapot with 14g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse and a 10 minute rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 min.

Flavors: Bitter, Chocolate, Earth, Fruity, Sweet

Preparation
Boiling 14 g 5 OZ / 160 ML

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
