This tea was pretty good even though I am pretty sure I didn’t get the temperature right. I was at a friend’s house with just a stove top kettle. I had to estimate the temperature without a thermometer. There was just a hint of bitterness and a nice flavor of vanilla and orchids. The background flavor of the oolong was there too. It was not a strong oolong flavor but a mild one. It was excellent.

I brewed this once in a 26oz cast iron teapot with 4 tsp leaf and approx 195 degree water for 4 minutes. I would buy this tea again, at least in theory.

Flavors: Orchid, Vanilla

I’d think the orchid would be tricky to steep without going all bitter on you…

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
