48 Tasting Notes
It’s an average tasting Jasmine tea. Not overpowering like other Jasmine teas. The tea leafs look good like an orange pekoe grade. When it steeps it looks like a green tea. Probably a green tea base Jasmine. Not my favorite but I will drink it from time to time.
Preparation
Beware of the steep time. Teavana’s sticker said 2 minutes when it’s really 30-45 seconds. They didn’t tell me that when I purchased it. However, I’d go with a steep time of around 1 minute and a temperature closer to 180 degrees.
Preparation
The liquor of this tea is a perfect green. It’s one of the best smelling green teas I’ve had in a while. The taste is so smooth and fresh and light and satisfying. At the end of the tea pot you get the pan fried taste. It’s my favorite green tea. Rishi does Dragon Well very well. One of their Dragon Well green teas won first place and another one second place in the World Tea Championship in Las Vegas in 2009. I don’t suspect that this is one of them but it still is an amazing green tea! I love it!
Preparation
I wouldn’t say this is an excellent tea but it is definitely one I can enjoy time and time again. I would like to see more green tea in it though. It mostly consists of brown rice, which isn’t a bad thing but a little less brown rice and a tad bit more green tea would make it awesome. The smell isn’t my favorite since I’m not fond of the smell of popcorn but I can get over that part. A great tea.
Preparation
I had to change my rating on this tea. I lowered it to 72 from 80. The tea doesn’t seem to have a pure smooth taste as it did the first time. I’m not just brewing some old tea that has been opened for a while. I bought more of this tea so it should be fresh. It’s got a hint of a young dandelion taste.
Preparation
A happy flowery soft and gentle scent. As most white teas the Select Tips has a light taste and is soft to the palate. Doesn’t taste as clean as a Rishi Silver Needle white tea. A decent tea. Next time I will be getting a different white tea.
Preparation
Great earthy smell. Full-bodied and lots of deep earthy flavors! This is probably the darkest tea I have seen. Looks like a cup of coffee. If placed next to drip coffee I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. A very excellent puerh tea. I would definitely buy this one again.
