23 Tasting Notes
Oh my goodness. I went out of my comfort zone on this one. I adore Earl Grey buy I tend to dislike “cream” teas and I have an unreliable relationship with vanilla.
I am sad to report that I brewed it and the smell of it made my stomach churn. I couldn’t drink it.
I really enjoy bitter teas that taste more like dirt and trees, so if you’re not into that you might enjoy this tea. I am always impressed with the quality of DavidsTea tea’s so it is no reflection upon them, merely a taste issue.
Thankfully I bought only a sampler of it.
Preparation
I splurged and bought some dragon pears as jasmine is my favourite tea of all time. I was a bit disappointed. I found it wonderfully sweet and very light, which I’m sure would please a lot of people. I tend to like my teas on the bitter side, so the sweetness was just not to my liking. However, it was probably one of the best cups of tea I’ve ever had, just not one for everyday drinking.
I also bought some rose petals and added them to the pearls….was lovely.
Preparation
Simply wonderful tea. I have a cup every morning and it always brightens my day. I tend to forget to remove my tea bags so my tea is always very strong, but Twinnings Earl Grey tastes wonderful even when I leave the bag in for half an hour. Fabulous.
