A red ruyao glaze on a chalice shaped teacup. This glaze will craze and crackle with use, but it crackles more slowly than most ruyao, and sometimes not at all depending on glaze distribution.
This is a fully handmade artisan piece of teaware. As with any handmade item, each will be a full unique piece, which may contain differences from the exact pieces in the product pictures. These differences are what give character to each piece. Take into account that glazes of this nature will vary, the firing, pattern and positioning of the glaze will be unique to each individual teacup.
