A brisk and malty whole leaf black tea with sweet date palm after-taste. The large wiry leaves produce a bright orange-yellow liquor with a delicious honey aroma. The flavor has hints of cocoa, spices, and wet wood, enough to teleport you to the land with woods and large grasslands in Assam.
Folklore Tea is a home-grown project from Assam, India, and is an association of the small tea growers in the oldest tea growing region of India. It cooperates with the small artisanal farmers in crafting exquisite teas in their backyard garden to sustain the timeless flavors, and concoct newer varieties, based on their years of expertise.
