Oriental Beauty / Don Fang Mei Ren Cha

Oriental Beauty Tea is a high class form of oolong tea, and this kind of tea is free of pesticides.
Oriental beauty tea must be selected from lush hills at lower elevations. The tea leaves are exposed to leafhopper insects that take a bite out of each leaf, triggering a partial oxidation of the leaf. After the leaf is more mature and processed, a uniquely fragrance of honey and roses. The tea is picked by hand in summer and uses only young tea-leaves that are grown without pesticides and then undergo a high degree of fermentation (around 70%), which requires a careful and skilled picking technique and roasting technique.This unique method obtains the well sought after flavors of the tea that have been enjoyed by tea lovers.
The tea has a reputation lasting over a hundred years after it was served in 19th century as a delicacy to the Queen of the United Kingdom, who loved it very much and named it “Oriental Beauty Tea.”
Not only do the leaves have quite a variation of colors (white, green, yellow, red, and brown), but also the taste of the tea is unique with its refresh fragrance and elegant flavor. It has an aroma resembling that of ripe fruit (peach) and honey with sweet aftertaste.
The special flavor with rich and sweet fragrance, outstanding taste,which is the highest grade of tea in chorus.
