“Pretty to look at, and nice to hold, these little tea cakes are still being sold. (Now, June 2023, though I bought mine a year ago. ) At 10 g apiece, there is a bit too much for a gongfu session...” Read full tasting note
This is a pressing of 2006 spring harvested raw pu-erh tea from Jinggu that was also aged as mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh) in Jinggu until the end of the 2020, when it was pressed into these lovely little 10 gram ultra mini cakes!
The aging in loose leaf form has respectfully fast-aged this raw pu-erh into something that is mellow and warm, but still has a bit of a umami/bitter/astringent bit to it, that is countered by a fruity sweetness.
Each mini cake is roughly 10 grams (+/- 1 gram). These do not come wrapped in paper.
