Himalayan Bliss
Perched atop the mountainous terrain of eastern Nepal at an altitude ranging from 3,500-5,000 ft. lies Himalayan Bliss, a quaint tea estate located in the region of Fikkal. A newcomer to tea production, the estate was established in 2010. Himalayan Bliss produces clonal teas known for their vibrant flavors.
The region of Fikkal is located a mere 23 miles driving distance from Darjeeling in India, known to produce the coveted “champagne of teas”. This proximity to Darjeeling endows the estate with similar terroir. Yet estates like Himalayan Bliss appear to unintentionally remain hidden gems, not warranting much discussion and limelight in the world tea market. Perhaps this is due to low quantities produced, or perhaps the estates are not as storied and heralded as their Darjeeling counterparts. One thing is for certain; tea connoisseurs in the know consider Nepalese tea to be on par with Darjeeling teas in terms of aroma and taste.
Find out for yourself; you will not be disappointed!
