The Pettiagalla Estate is famed for its high altitude Ceylon. It lies amongst pristine forest reserves in the shade of a small mountain. The high altitude gives this tea it’s warm lingering oaky flavour, lifted by soft floral notes.
The tea is still made using antique rollers, producing a taste that stays true to how it would have been in the first Whittard shop. The elegant wiry black leaves make a red gold tea with a glorious floral aroma typical of this famous garden.
