Sun Moon Lake Red Tea (日月潭紅茶 Rìyuètán hóngchá) This unique red tea is made from Shan Cha 山茶, the wild tea trees native to Taiwan. Harvested from the environs of Sun Moon Lake, a large, high altitude lake that is sacred to the indigenous Thao people of Taiwan. This tea possesses a quality that we’ve never encountered in another tea – a distinctive note of wintergreen, set amongst complex floral and cacao highlights. We first tried this tea in 2018 and are excited to have it in stock again.
