While the Li Family uses sun drying to bring out rich texture and spice in their sun dried black tea, they have recently started experimenting with a light roasting process, done entirely by hand over a special wood-fired wok. This Dragon Pearl pressing is unique from the loose leaf version of 2017’s harvest because of its intense juiciness, combined with a rose aftertaste that tastes almost of lychee for the first few steepings. As the juiciness fades, a strong sandalwood spice comes through with a light cooling and tingling sensation that builds on the palate.
