From Vahdam Teas

An imperial harvest from the unique terroir of Nepal at the foothills of the Himalayas including the mighty peak of Mount Everest. The raw leaves are hand-plucked at an elevation above 1500 metres from extravagant buds & delicately rolled to perfection. The attractive leaves offer a combination of golden, silver & brown tips with a whiff of dry & ripe fruit.
The amberish liquor is bright & rich. The flavour offers a voluptuous note of fresh sweet almonds accentuated with hints of caramel. Overall a distinct, yet supremely exotic black tea from Nepal, manufactured in limited quantity on order for Vahdam teas.

This is a tasty black tea, malty and somewhat chocolaty in nature. As I recall it didn’t cost a lot. It is not quite so malty as I find the average Chinese black to be but less like a Darjeeling than a Chinese black.

I steeped this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 190 degree water for 3 minutes.
