“A beautifully light and refreshing tea, as advertised. A slightly bitter twang, so a little sweetening couldn’t hurt. Definitely save for summer.” Read full tasting note
The story goes that one cold night way back in Eastern China, tired soldiers took refuge in a tea factory; but it was a tight squeeze so they had to sleep on the tea leaves. During the night, the leaves became crushed and as morning broke, worried villagers thought the tea to be ruined.
Imagine the relief when they realised the crushed leaves had created a sweet, refreshing spring-like flavour tea. And so Oolong was discovered.
