“This is a pretty good oolong. Nice sweet fruity flavors with some floral notes. Nicely rolled with big leaves, though there’s a bit of stem too. I like it, though it may be pricey for what it is,...” Read full tasting note
“Quite long stems on these but overall a good tea. I’ve been enjoying this at work in the mornings and I’ve found it an excellent way for me to prepare for my day. Flavors are mild but very...” Read full tasting note
“First visual impression: lots of big stems in this, but I appreciate that the tea is vacuum-sealed inside the tin. After rinsing, I steeped for 30 seconds. It smelled pleasantly floral and fruity,...” Read full tasting note

Description

This tea is commonly called “high-mountain tea” by drinking consumers. This tea is produced at altitude ~1000 meters in Alinshan mountain area (one of the most toursit-attractive spots in Taiwan). Normally, the weather is cold and there canopy cloudy mists last every day in “High Mountain”. The average sunshine is also short. The tea leaves and buds are tender. The mesophyll is thick and pectin contents are high. Hence high-mountain teas have some characteristics, such as black-green appearance, sweet taste, refined aroma and enduring brewing etc. Since the quality for this tea is good, all the leaves were picked by hands. This tea is light roasted.
