A very high quality matcha from Kyôto with an assertive flavour. It is far from the matchas that are very sweet or even chocolatey, not that it is astringent or bitter, no, but it has a lot of body. It is robust. Whether you prepare it as classical usu-cha or as koi-cha, this matcha produces a very dense drink, full of flavours and sensations, like a kind of green tea expresso. Prepared as koi-cha, mellowness, astringency and bitterness are balanced in a surprising thick liquor that might require some getting used to, but that can become almost addictive (koi-cha uses a large quantity of tea, and should be consumed in moderation).
