From THEODOR

Flavoured black tea with major notes of dragonfruit and goji berries.

“It would be impolite to bear me a grudge, Georges !”
I don’t like sharing; I don’t like sharing…what else could I tell you? This black tea with note of Dragon fruit, those Goji berries and this slight buttery scent are like a declaration that was just meant for me! There is nothing I can do about it! You know, it’s pointless to be jealous of those scents from Asia just because I spend more time with them than with you. Be Zen! Je suis désolé…”

Advent from Dustin Day 1

So excited to start advent season, especially the wonderfully spooky Dustin created for me (thank you!).

Dragonfruit generally tastes like nothing to me, so I’m not sure if I’d be able to pick out that flavor here. But, there’s definitely a goji/red fruit thing going on as well. A bit of a creamy, sweet finish. This really does have a bit of a cola flavor going on as well, which makes no sense based on the described ingredients…but I’m into it!

Very happy to have been able to try this blend.

I don’t recall what dragon fruit tastes like, but I remember liking it. Goji berry on the other hand I have a distinct impression of being really gross. Somehow the two of these combined taste very cola like! I have had several cups of this since acquiring it this summer, but I’ve been doing my default black tea parameters which haven’t resulted in an optimal cup. Today I was careful to follow the instructions on the bag and I feel like that gave a much better flavor. The start of the sip is a little confusing to me, like the flavors need time to sort themselves out, but partway through the sip I get that cola flavor that lasts into the finish. I’m not able to pick out the black tea behind the flavors, it kind of just blends right in there. I didn’t expect cola to be a flavor I’d enjoy in tea, but I’m liking this. Cola tastes pretty good when it’s not drowning in sugar!

I had a small sample of this from the lovely Marzipan. I found the fruity black to be quite satisfying and I would jump at the chance to have more if the opportunity ever arose. Unfortunately, I had this juicy tea a while back and have forgotten much of it’s finer details. Thus I am leaving off a rating at this time. I do remember enjoying it though. :)
