“Smokey. Black tea flavour is quite dull. Nice lingering smokey aftertaste. I can detect the bergamot flavour which is blended well with the tea and is not overpowering. Medium mouthfeel” Read full tasting note
Garrocher Grey Tea is a unique take on traditional Earl Grey by virtue of scented Monarda petals – a technique learnt by settlers from Native Americans brought back to Scotland through trading routes commonly docking on Scotland’s West coast. Since 2014 Angela Hurrell has transformed her successful market garden in Newton Stewart to grow both the tea and flowers side by side. As Scotland’s first black tea it is robust, sweet and highly recommended with a touch of milk.
