This award winning (and very limited) batch of tea comes from a 150 year old plantation in Muzha, in the Wenshan district of Taiwan. The Muzha region is famous for their roasted tieguanyin oolong, a deeply oxidized style that offers a richer flavor and darker liquor than the “jade” or Anxi style.
This particular tieguanyin comes from the Zishan tea garden, a certified organic farm, and roasted under the careful supervision of two tea masters, one with over sixty years of experience. The tea was grown at 500 meters, and picked during the November/December harvest of 2014.
This tea is officially one of the finest in the world. This coal fired tieguanyin won first place in it’s category at the North American Tea Championship, and we’re fortunate to have reserved this batch before the award was won — this tea is completely sold out in North America, so this is a remarkable opportunity!
