From The Silk Tea Co.

Swoon-worthy sips
In celebration of all things pink, including the pretty pink houses of Positano, we have created this strawberry cake-inspired tea. This ambrosial blend features rich South African rooibos with fragrant, sun-ripened strawberries, healing Manuka honey, and creamy vanilla bean. Sip this tea and listen to Blossom Dearie’s song of the same name. Naturally caffeine-free so you can sip late at night and still sleep soundly.

The Silk Tea Brewing Ritual

Scoop 1 teaspoon into your tea filter of choice and steep in 1 generous cup or 250 ml of freshly boiled water at 212°F or 100°C for 5 minutes. Go on and pour yourself and your beloved another cup. This tea is good for re-steeping and will unfurl different flavors over a few refill pours of water. Each spoonful of our creamy South African rooibos blend can yield 2-3 cups of delicious tea.

Ingredients

South African rooibos, strawberries, Manuka honey powder (Manuka honey, maltodextrin), freeze-dried strawberry yogurt (sugar, skim milk yogurt, tapioca starch, black carrot juice concentrate, citric acid), cornflowers, vanilla pieces, and flavors.

In my head I was remembering this tea as a bit more medicinal tasting, so I was surprised when I took my first sips of this mug and was met with more of a creamy yogurt sort of note. Strawberry, too. Fresh with a hint of a tart snap to it. Very “strawberries and cream” as an overall profile with a nice mix of bright top notes and silky vanilla/cream in the finish. Rooibos forward to be sure, but just not quite as medicinal as I think I experienced my first go round.
