I’m having issues with the tasting notes box. I didn’t steep it for 7.5 minutes; I steeped it for 6 minutes.

The smell of the tea is quite nice. Real chocolate-banana smell. Kind of like a banana split from DQ if you got it with no strawberries, no pineapple and no ice cream.
I’m trying this one milk-and-sugar because I’m feeling poorly and want an extra treat.
Steeped and in my mug it has more of a baked goods smell. I baked banana chocolate chip mini muffins using a coffee cake recipe i found online for a road trip and this smell reminds me quite a bit of that one. It’s amazing how heat can change a smell.
I don’t like the taste at all. The banana bits taste alcoholic and the chocolate comes through more as a slime on the roof of my mouth than it does as a taste. The smell is lovely; the taste leaves a lot to be desired. And oddly it doesn’t seem to pair well with the milk and sugar that I added, a problem with rooibos that I’ve never had.
I haven’t been on Steepster in months (moved to a new town, been busy, been summer, got pregnant), and it makes me a little sad that this tea marks my return to reviewing teas. I mean, it’s drinkable, but I won’t be reaching for this orange bag of tea to satisfy my tea cravings until my other flavoured rooibos are gone. Le sad.

Sitting: at my desk in the kitchen (taking a break from work) with the window wide open to let the cool air in.
Wearing: slippers and a zip-up sweater.

I quite liked this tea. I had tried a non-flavoured rooibos before & didn’t like it, so wasn’t prepared for the delight which my taste buds experienced with the first sip! The banana flavour is the most prevalent, followed by chocolate. I don’t really taste the walnut or coconut. I prepared with 1 tbsp of 2% milk & 2 tsp of white, granulated sugar. Two thumbs up (or should I say two pinky’s up?) from me!
EDIT: I’ve updated my rating to reflect that I no longer enjoy this tea. I don’t know what happened, but I really can’t stand it now – neither the scent nor the flavour! :(

I really like this tea:) It reminds me of a nice warm banana bread! It is wonderful especially on the cold nights in winter that are rapidly approaching here. I enjoy this tea enough to experiment with it and I have actually cross – brewed this tea with one teaspoon of Mudslide and then a 1/4 teaspoon of " forever nuts" by David’s Tea together. It turns it into a lovely warm banana nut bread. :)

I must say I’ve changed my mind about this tea. I really, really liked it at first & then all of a sudden my taste buds did a complete 180 & I don’t like it anymore. Not sure what happened, but now the fragrance turns my stomach :(

I couldn’t drink this tea. I don’t particularly like strong rooibos teas – once in awhile, but not often – and I really didn’t like this one. I may have brewed it a bit weak, but I wouldn’t want to try it again. I found the banana to be overpoweringly cloying, and the chocolate didn’t mesh well in it. Additionally, the walnuts in it gave me a bit of a headache (but I think I’m mildly allergic, so that was to be expected).

Makes a delicious, life changing latte when mixed with frothy soymilk. Tastes like banana bread fresh out of the oven. I make a very light version with unsweetened soymilk and twin sugar “brown sugar flavour”, and it rocks, 1/2 soymilk, 1/2 tea. It’s just magical.
