“Bouuuught some. Still teh epic. Made a pot of this for the Roommate and I to enjoy.” Read full tasting note
“If you like vanilla then this is the tea for you. You taste the tea before the flavouring, which is the way tea should be. I recommend this one over Bourbon Vanilla.” Read full tasting note
“This was a nice example of this type of blend with the grenadine being fairly mild and not to sweet and a more dominant cool vanilla that added creaminess and avoided the tendancies of vanilla...” Read full tasting note
“Delicate and flavourful. I’m not a fan of the grenadine (it tastes like those chalky valentine’s day heart candies), but I can see how lots of people would enjoy this blend immensely. If I want...” Read full tasting note

Description

Monk’s Blend is a dramatic combination of Ceylon Black Tea, blue corn flowers, vanilla and grenadine. This flavoured tea has a mysterious background, as it is believed to have been developed by monks to fulfill their life’s desires and used by Franciscan monks to keep them awake during periods of meditation. While we may not know the true history of Monk’s blend, we do know that this tea is delicious and much desired by vanilla lovers.

Teaopia is now part of Teavana, but it seems this tea did not make the transformation. Any information on a comparable product is appreciated
