From Tealux

The first thing that strikes you upon opening a packet of this exclusive Tealux tea is the rich, red colouration of the blend, thanks to its combination of red berries, flowers and leaves.

Even before brewing, the heady aromas of juicy blueberries, cherries, blackberry and raspberry flavors envelop the senses, offering the promise of something really special to come.

Blue mallow blossoms, and strawberry and raspberry leaves provide a delicate balance to the natural sweetness of President’s Choice, topped off with the unmistakable aroma of succulent rose petals.

Light, refreshing and highly aromatic, President’s Choice is a caffeine free fruit tea blend that really is fit for a president. A must-have for any lover of herb and fruit teas! Equally delicious served hot or iced.

Ingredients: Rose petals, blueberries, cherries, rose hips, blue mallow blossoms, strawberry leaves, raspberry leaves with strawberry, blackberry and raspberry flavoring.

First to write a tasting note and it is part of a swap? Such pressure…

Well first off thank you Dexter3657 for sending this my way. As I have mentioned many times, a fruit tisane with no hibiscus is already a plus in my book. Alas, that is where the pluses end.

There is a lot in this blend and it all just combines to make one generically fruity flavor. It is not sweet, nor tart just fruit. It is pretty hard to describe as there is nothing that really sticks out one way or another. Nothing bad, nothing good, just a fruit tisane. It won’t be hard to drink up but it also won’t be hard to forget once it is done.

I think that there is too much going on in this one. Lots of different bits and pieces, it all just ends up in a jumbled fruity “muddy” mess. It’s ok cold steeped, but it’s just generic fruit “something”. This tea is trying too hard to be too many different things, and doesn’t work.
