From TeaGschwendner

Based on a traditional candy from Brittany (and a favorite flavor pairing among French and American chefs), this sweet-salty offering is surprisingly creamy with an exceptionally full bodied flavor. Ingredients: Black tea, Rooibos, bits of salted caramel (sugar, sweetened condensed milk, glucose syrup, fondant, palm fat, concentrated butter, salt, flavor), flavor. Tip: 12 g tea leaves (7 level Teelamass) per 1 liter filtered, boiling water; allow to brew 2 min.

*Contains Milk (and products thereof)

Thank you Sil for sharing this one with me! I have had salted caramel on the brain for a few days now and this is hitting the spot nicely (though I may make a salted caramel oolong latte later if the mood strikes). I was worried about the rooibos in it would be overwhelming since lately I seem to find rooibos flavor takes over, but its got a soft caramel flavor. There is some of the base but it works with the caramel rather than against it. It tastes like the soft caramel chews you almost only see on Halloween that come wrapped individually in see-through plastic with white writing. It’s not the best caramel flavor but its distinctively caramel and thus doing what I want it to do.

Sil

Glad it worked for you. I don’t love tea g’s rooibos but this one works for whatever reason to me

Yes, this is good. I drank it alongside a cup of Jayida Ché’s Rooibos Vanilla Chai and I just feel so spoiled right now. Wow, awesome consecutive tea lattes.

If you’ve had Vancouver based Bayswater’s Creme Brulee/Divine Temptation this blend is kind of a relative. It’s smooth and rich, wearing its dessert tea status on the cuff of its sleeve. I had some reservations about the rooibos/black tea blend but it’s easy to forget that “they” exist half the time. Once I run out and when my cupboard is less ridiculous (in 2021) I’ll likely suck it up (argh shipping) and reorder, if just for the fantastic O’Connor’s Cream and this. Yum.

Small but satisfying condolences after that extra $20 UPS brokerage fee, which I’m trying not to think about! Next time I order from these guys it will be USPS. XD

mmm really enjoyed this one today, moving in to those cool weather teas where i just want warm comforting goodness

Courtney

I feel like I need to look at the TeaG website, but every time I do (maybe once a year), I never end up ordering. This one sounds tasty though!

Sil

it’s a pain in the ass…their website ships UPS which is BAD for us… i’d be inclined to just call and see if they’d ship it USPS.

I’m down in chicago in business fairly often during NON covid times so i generally just go to the store, buy tea and bring it home. When covid goes away and i travel again i can poke you when i go down again..you’re still east side of the country?

Sil

(or central if you’re one of THOSE ppl who considers this place we’re in “central” but since i’m from out west, after sask it’s all east….MAYBE manitoba haha

Cameron B.

I’ve never tried any of their teas either, you’ll have to tell me your favorites!

Courtney

Hahah I love the directions here. East coast is east coast (Maritimes), east is Ontario/Quebec, west is Manitoba to Alberta, and West coast is west coast (BC). In my mind!

Sil

@cameron – lots fo folks like o connors cream, cream, caramel, kaphaa (spicy), pina colada uh….

Courtney

This also reminds me of S&V teas. They had better shipping options when I emailed them because they’re regular shipping to Canada was something like starting at $30. Speaking of…let me check out their website haha!

Sil

I keep waiting for an s&v sale lol

Cameron B.

I was hoping they would do their advent box again, but haven’t seen it this year. :(

Courtney

I emailed them this morning to ask again about the shipping (since it’s been a few years since I asked) and they got back to me so quickly! They asked exactly what I wanted to order to determine a shipping estimate. Love how accommodating they are!
