“Delicious, rich, spicy aroma of ginger, stone fruits, woods, and cloves. The taste is a bit dry and astringent even though I steeped at the minimum temperature (185˚F) for about 15 sec under 4:00. ...” Read full tasting note
“Very nice sample, again following the steep guidelines to a ‘tea’, I used a non descriptive teapot 6oz and took my time brewing, being mostly a small gaiwan gongfu kind of guy it really is hard for...” Read full tasting note

Description

Experience a pageantry of fruity flavors in is impressive summer muscatel tea from Castleton. The dry leaves feature a toasty, woody fragrance.

Once steeped, the aroma of the amber-colored brew fills the air with heady perfume of sweet cantaloupe and grilled peaches. The mouth attack is predominantly of burnt caramel, followed by aromatic flavors of white rose, cherry and parsley. Underscored by a fruity finish that lingers for a while on the palate, this muscatel is one for the relish.
