Description

This is a rich, warm, easy-to-like first flush Darjeeling from the prominent Arya tea estate. Reddish, boldly-twisted leaf with earth tone accents of cocoa. khaki and amber, sets off a smattering of velvety silver tips and a few green highlights. “Ruby” reveals a warm-toned amber liquor that exudes notes of toast, cinnamon and a pleasant, light spiciness. Subtle, without being plain, quiet and unassuming, without being tedious, it’s a nice mahogany cup for the quiet afternoon or early evening.

The Arya tea estate lies in the foothills of Darjeeling, covering 125 hectares at an altitude of 1500 metres. A certified member of the Darjeeling Tea Association, this tea estate is renowned for its wide variety of high quality Darjeeling teas and Tea blends, like the Ruby (Black Tea), Pearl (White Tea), Emerald (Green Tea), Topaz (Oolong) and Diamond (Chunky Tips). The estate produces more than 70 tons of tea per annum and is an ‘Organic Estate’ where only the best cultivating techniques and traditional methods of picking and processing tea are used to ensure a very high quality yield.
