Description

Gopaldhara is one of our favourite plantations that produces high quality teas and this one is no different. An extremely floral summer tea produced from the distinct clonal bushes – exudes a sweet taste that is unique blend of fruits/flowers. It can be easily steeped twice or even more – a good tea to have in your storage for all occasions.

Located in Mirik valley Gopaldhara is one of the highest test estates in Darjeeling and is known for exquisite quality clonal teas . In the year 1881, the original planters started planting teas on lush green paddy fields that belonged to a person named ‘Gopal’. As the paddy fields were interspersed with numerous natural streams, called ‘dharas’ in the local language, a combination of the two gave the name ‘Gopaldhara’ to the planted tea fields.
