From Teabox

Our first offering from Namring of this season, this is one of the ‘stronger’ first flush teas if we can use that word for first flush. Its boldness cannot be unmasked at all. It can be slightly bitter if brewed for long which might be a rare quality in comparison to other first flush teas. All in all, a different first flush tea.

Situated in the eastern part of Darjeeling district, the estate is about an hour’s drive from Darjeeling. The estate grows exquisite combinations of bushes such as China, Clonal and Assam hybrid which produces exotic flavors in every cup of tea the estate produces. The estate, located at a an altitude of 3000ft above sea level with the highest point of plantation is situated at 5500 ft above sea level.

Thank you kieblera5 for this tea (I think I’ve got the right one here.) I haven’t tried many Darjeeling teas in the past so this was a fun try for me.

I’m really digging this unique sweet bite like flavor with each sip. I cold brewed and hot brewed it with about the same results. I didn’t get the mango flavor that was described on the package but I got a sweet like note.

Overall I’m happy I was able to try this and enjoy some time with a new tea.
