Very balanced and strong 2nd flush Darjeeling with an even tippy leaf and a dark amber cup.
Darjeeling, named after the district in India where it grows, is for many tea aficionados the pinnacle of tea drinking. Here, at the foothills of the Himalayas, the climate is almost absolutely perfect for growing the finest tea in the world.
Clearly defined harvesting periods lead to different, unique tastes: smooth and aromatic for the first flush (harvested in spring), strong and full-bodied for the second flush (harvested in summer), and mellow and brisk for the autumnal harvest.
