1 Tasting Note View all

“This is an extremely satisfying tea that demands attention, but rewards also casual brews. It might just be the best Darjeeling I’ve ever tried. It induces a pleasant warming sensation throughout...” Read full tasting note

Description

Exclusive tea from the winter harvest made for Tea Mountain exclusively from the tea leaves of our favorite cultivar B157! The tea is very nicely processed from the youngest, just sprouted two leaves and tip, more wilted (16 hours), a slightly tighter rolled roll left for spontaneous oxidation and then dried. It has an aroma typical of the B157 cultivar, ie mildly spicy to fruity tones and a beautiful, clear, delicate, golden infusion with a sweet taste and strong freshness, which develops in a variety of immature fruit tones with a very pleasant, decent aftertaste. A few years ago, new methods began to be used in the production of tea under new management, and this direction seems to be very promising. After the garden has invested in new technologies, it’s great to see that technology is starting to thrive and modern practices have come to fruition, and even a garden that hasn’t had a good reputation among Darjeeling drinkers is starting to surprise. We are all the more pleased that we were the first to offer this tea from the Rohini Garden at the historically first Jethi Kupi tea lot, and that we can continue this tradition.
