From Tea Addiction

Ingredients: Black tea, rooibos, cacao nibs, coconut, apple, and vanilla flavoring. A unique blend of coconut scented black tea, smooth rooibos, cacao nibs, vanilla, and apple make Bountiful Black most pleasing to the palate.

The flavor is rich and sumptuous. Trust us when we say you’ll enjoy every delightful sip.

Tea Fact: Because Bountiful Black contains black tea, it also has caffeine. However, if you like the flavor of both black and rooibos tea you’re going to love these two blended together.

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

I like this very much. When I first looked at it, I thought there might have been a mistake … this looks more like rooibos than a black tea. But, interestingly enough, it tastes more like a black tea than a rooibos blend.

These flavors meld very well together – creating a rich, sweet, delicious flavor that is all at once chocolate-y, coconut-y, sweet and creamy. Deliciously decadent!

I’m pretty sure this is the same tea I received from Mel a while back (although it was from a different company). I’ve been trying to find an online source for it ever since, because it is really good. It tastes mostly of coconut and vanilla. The apples just add a little bit of sweetness. You can’t really taste the chocolate, I think it helps round out the flavor and maybe add a bit of creaminess. The coconut makes this a very oily tea, which helps give it a thicker and more creamy texture. The combination of rooibos and black tea is interesting, but it unfortunately adds a bit of caffeine to the mix. If I could only drink one flavored tea for the rest of my life, this would probably be my pick. I almost cried when I used up the last of my sample. Prepared with stevia.

First time tasting this. I actually think I almost forgot that I had it.. ::h o w e v e r:: I am very glad I went with this one today! I’m really into coconut right now, so this was an obvious choice, but the blend of rooibos and black makes it very smooth (and I over steeped it, doh!) Had I used my Breville Tea Maker, that would not have happened, but since this blend does have cacao, I would prefer not to introduce any sugars to the pot. BUT, I still used the Breville to heat my water to 212 deg.. and it was ready in a snap. After I poured the water over the tea to steep, the tea maker kept time for me with its handy “time since brewed” indicator. It would have been less fail had I not walked away.. but whatever. It came out perfectly yummy. I might add that upon opening the canister, you do get a bit of a punch of that cacao scent over everything else, which made me think the flavor would’ve been more pronounced—but it was balanced perfectly. Funny how that works out… I am adding this one to my favorites. Seems like I have quite a few now.. and I am realizing most of them are black.. :D
