I absolutely adore how this smells while steeping. The citrus scent is very enticing. Used boiling water and steeped for 4.5 minutes. While sipping it, I am reminded of Tang, the powdered drink mix of astronauts and cold weather camping trips of my childhood. At the same time, I find a bitter after taste. Added a honey spoon and the bitterness was dulled but the citrus remained.

Tried a second steep after reading another tasting note. The citrus scent was dulled and the bitterness as well. Honestly, it ended up just being a bland cup of tea the second time around.

Water: 8oz

Leaves: tea bag

Measuring Spoon: no

Steep: 5m

Aroma: Citrus

Color: reddish brown

Clarity: slightly cloudy

Taste:Wow, I haven’t done one of these in a while. I picked up this individual tea packet at my local British shop (I live in the US). I never tried a Taylors Of Harrogate Tea, so i thought why not at only $.50. Opening the foil packet I noticed the tea bag is quite large, bigger than your typical bag. The aroma of the steeped cup was citrus accompanied by a reddish brown hue.I let the cup go for 5 minutes as for the taste it was very bitter difficult to drink with out making a face. To see if this cup could be helped I added a packet honey pearls. It helped to greatly reduce the amount of bitterness without altering the flavor profile but not add much sweetness.Overall I didn’t enjoy this tea which also left a dry mouth feel once I finished my cup.

*update: I took the same used tea bag a steeped it in about 2 cups of water & it was much better than the first cup & very light in flavor with no bitterness.

This tea is like candy. It has a strange sweetness on its own, but a little sugar and a lemon wedge really livens it up. The actual black tea flavor is a bit muted, but it makes up for it with the sheer deliciousness of the fruit flavorings. Also, this is a British tea, so you can act all fancy around your friends and exclude them from your fancy tea parties.

You can begin speaking with a British accent, causing everyone to trust your opinion more than they normally would. This will lead to promotions and general success in your life.

Then, one day, atop your mountain of gold, you will inevitably tell your supermodel wife some sweet nothing in your original accent and the world will come crashing down. She will divorce you and take everything you own, leaving you with nothing, right back where you started.

This glorious tea has the power to change your life for the better or worse or not at all. Basically, it’s just like any other tea. Enjoy!
