Advent tea 5
A nice brisk tea to start the day, the second steep was a bit smoother. Overall a bit astringent for me, I’d blend it with Yunnan or Darjeeling to soften it up.

I got a box of this with my sampler bag at the SF Tea Festival last year.
It smells like black tea.

It tastes like black tea. That’s about it. But it’s pleasant and bright, not very astringent. I’ll bet it’s great iced too. It would probably do well with milk too, but it’s nice as-is.

Surprisingly good for bagged CTC black tea!

It tastes nearly identical to the original, but perhaps it doesn’t get as thick when oversteeped (which is something I enjoy doing with my black teas – especially my earl greys). Worth purchasing if you like the original. Can never have too much tea in the cupboard – says the girl with over 100 teas.

I always have some of this on hand. Very tasty and the dry leaf has a really good smell ive not noticed in other teas. Doesn’t really go into the final brew, but very nice.

Wise tea drinkers keep a stash of ungoofables among the fancier stuff. This definitely qualifies!

Yorkshire has replaced the blood in my veins. Bought a 640 teabag bag of this on Amazon and have zero shame. My go-to tea.

Rich and definitely full mouthful of flavours, just the way I love it.
Its quite a strong brew and awesome with milk and sugar.
Makes a great summer iced tea as well… Sun brewed or southern style.

One of my favourites.
