We are so happy to be able to confirm the return of Mr. Wen’s Organic Lishan Oolong. After last year’s dismal yield, this spring 2016 is a blessing that we’ve all been hoping for. And what a treat it is! Owing to its particular climate and terroir, Lishan tea is rich in catechin which reduces the bitter and harsh elements in the liquor. As well, the higher theanine and soluble nitrogen content contributes in heightening the compelling exotic sweetness of this tea. It is truly a unique tea that comes from a uniquely rich soil and grows in the best natural conditions one can find. This extremely rare organic Lishan offers one the most authentic and satisfying high-mountain tea tasting experience one can enjoy. We’ve been following the evolution of this small garden for 3 years now. Getting enough tea has always been an issue due to the very limited quantity this garden yields. Made from a small garden of slow-grown Qing Xin leaves, this tea delivers all the subtle nuances of alpine meadow freshness, fragrant bouquets of exotic flowers and a thick buttery smoothness that enthrals the palate. When we say subtle, we don’t mean weak! We mean subtle as in intricate and complex but in a more subdued way that titilates the senses in many sensory riddles. There is nothing like letting nature balance the the tone of what this tea delivers in a most harmonious and generous way. This tea also matures magnificently!
