After years collaborating with Mr. Xie, who is our long time friend, we finally have time to discuss the possibility of processing his affordable material with our traditional technique. This winter season we were finally able to do so, and despite being “affordable,” the tea itself taste and feel on the total opposite.
Like many other teas we produced this season, this material “suffered” from the biting of little grass hoper as well, and therefore created an unusually sweet aroma and taste. Under our processing guideline of “preservation” and “transformation,” the original character of the material was completely retained inside the core of the tea, so you will notice an endless flavor coming out from it with brew after brew.
Minor frostbite also added another distinct flavor to it, resulting this probably the highest quality oolong tea in its price range that will make tea lover and the farmer proud. In fact, several experienced tea farmers could not believe this was a “Four Seasons Spring” varietal from Mingjian at all due to how beautiful it is. We hope you can feel the care of land and processing passion inside this tea.
