From Steeped and Infused

Toasted mate, cocoa, sunflower petals, almond bits, cactus flowers and cornflower blossoms with chocolate flavour. A decadent cup of tea with a splash of milk and a drop of honey. Makes an excellent latte.

Alright…i think? this is the last tea for the evening now that I’ve sent my parents off to bed and we can get ready for tomorrow’s festivities. I hoped for a bit more from this tea. It vaguely reminds me of frank’s chocomate, though that may just be because of the toasted mate. I think i may have to pass this on to someone else to try as it appears i’m not overly a fan of mate. However! I will try this again with milk or something added to it to see if that makes it a bit more creamy and delicious.

Thanks for passing along your sample of this one, Sil! Another not-quite-sipdown though, grumble. I thought there was less left. I’ll have to dig out two guaranteed sipdowns to meet today’s quota.

Yep, this tastes like 52teas’ Malted ChocoMate, but sweeter, more chocolatey, and less malty. There’s a bit of bitterness which perhaps came from my long infusion; don’t usually get bitterness with mate though. I was wondering if it was because there was coffee in here, but it appears that there is no coffee, just flavouring, perhaps, that’s turning things a touch bitter.

Although this is drinkable straight, I think it would be better as a latte, as suggested on the packet. Perhaps that’s how I’ll use the last of it up! Thanks Sil!
