Loose leaf black tea is blended with dried spice pieces including cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, anise, peppercorns and dried citrus.
Brewing instructions:To make authentic chai, heat half milk & half water on the stove. Put one heaping teaspoon of masala tea per cup of liquid in the water while heating. Also add sweetener of choice. Bring to boil while watching closely so your milk doesn’t boil over. When it bubbles up, stir down twice as it bubbles up & then remove from heat. Strain out tea leaves & spices then serve. This is the only way to get the true flavor of the whole spices.
