Description

Tie Guan Yin also known as “The Goddess of Mercy” – Chinese legend tells of a poor man, who doted on a temple, was rewarded when the Iron Goddess appeared in his dream and directed him to an area of the temple where he would find a treasure. When he looked, he found a tea plant which he cultivated, sold the proceeds and planted out cuttings. The cuttings grew in to bushes and he sold more, then he gave bushes to local farmers so that they could share in his wealth.

The leaf is of differing shades of green and the liquor is bright yellow in colour, giving a smooth buttery character.

Brew with freshly drawn boiled water that has been allowed to cool for 2 minutes for 3-5 minutes.

Tastes smooth and buttery.
