From Simpson & Vail

Transport yourself to a land of desert sands, caravans and palm tree filled oasis, with Moroccan Mint – a delicious blend of spearmint and green tea. Traditionally, Moroccan Mint tea is served sweetened with sugar, although you can always substitute honey, agave, syrup, whatever sweetener you prefer. Served to guests, this tea is a drink of hospitality and is generally served three times.

The green tea unfurls into large leaves, with a pale ecru cup and a strong minty flavor.

Ingredients: Gunpowder green tea and spearmint.

What a nice refreshing end to a crazy week. The aromas coming from the leaves the self just had me practically sticking my nose into the carafe as the tea was steeping! The mix of mellow reshreshing green tea combined with the perfect amount of mint, wow! It just lends to a great crisp sinus opening, relaxing cup of tea. Perfect with honey or even by itself… Only one word of caution, let this little guy steep too long and you may feel like someone mixed some hot water in your toothpaste, generally a little less than a boil and a shorter steep time seems to be
Effect, enjoy!!!

On occasion, to fight off head cruds, I’ve been known to drink tea strictly to sniff, not to sip.

I’ve thought of that as a definite possibility, that’d be a good mix, some type of eucalyptus tea… Not necessarily menthol, that could be a bit to medicine-y. I’ll probably start looking for some fragrant tea for cold season. Thanks for the idea… Always looking for some reccomendations.

Just what the doctor ordered! Refreshing mint with a nice, aromatic green tea. Crisp, but still calming. Definitely great in the evening with honey. Will be purchasing this tea again.

Sip down & Backlog – 8/25

I made this as an iced tea over the weekend since it was a bit warmer on Sunday than it was earlier in the week. I avoid Moroccan Mint Greens due to not being a huge fan for gunpowder greens. This tea surprised me with a sweeter, minty, and refreshing flavor! The gunpowder didn’t get in and take over the mint, which is a relief.

A sample from my last order! Very simple blend but very delicious! A very sweet gunpowder green base, not vegetal flavored at all with even sweeter spearmint. No peppermint, only spearmint. So refreshing and perfect for so many tea times. It’s one of the best minty gunpowder greens I’ve ever tried… another example of S&V’s magic. One and a half teaspoons is the perfect amount for a mug. It never gets bitter… only surprisingly sweet.
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug// 25 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 20 minutes after boiling // 2-3 minute steep
