“I haven’t had this tea in ages so I decided to steep some up today. I guess I should have checked my own steeping notes since I steeped it for 3 minutes and that’s exactly the same thing I did last...” Read full tasting note
The Arya Estate in Darjeeling (formerly known as Sidrabong) has a long and rich history. It was started in the 1800’s by Buddhist monks and the current owners of this garden have preserved their original house. Located at approximately 4900 feet, this garden offers beautiful views and, more importantly, some exquisite tea varieties.
Pouchong teas are lightly fermented and classified between oolongs and green teas. These long olive-green leaves, with white tips, impart a delicate earthy aroma and brew to a light pale cup. This delightfully smooth tasting tea from the Arya Estate has the underlying taste characteristics of a fine Darjeeling.
