“Chose to gongfu steep this one. Wow – this tea brew a nice clean, thick liquid. The aroma is spicy in its chai-likeness, yet has deep hay notes and a sweet molasses and oats thickness. This tea is...” Read full tasting note

Description

Gold Bud is made with the dayeh leaf, a sub-varietal of Camellia sinensis, varietal assamica. This leaf grows wild in the jungle and forests of Yunnan.

Our lot is made of curled thick golden leaves that cup to a distinctive, reddish liquor with a wonderful spicy and creamy-sweet flavor. This black or “red” tea is made from an indigenous varietal, Dayeh, a large-leaf tea tree found to Yunnan Province. The leaves are strikingly golden-brown in color, the cup is spicy and sweet and thirst quenching. This is a refreshing, full-flavored tea that is good most anytime. This tea can take milk.
