“Is this black tea exciting? Not really. Is it appreciated by my Red Rose loving parents? Yes, it absolutely is. This one might be perfect for casual black tea drinking when you don’t want to break...” Read full tasting note
“Great everyday black tea. Full robust flavor with hints of grass. You can taste the climate in this tea.” Read full tasting note
Admittedly, we are not experts on Indian tea, but this tea tastes great. A rich and full–bodied blend of Darjeelings grown in the Himalayan foothills. This Darjeeling has a flowery aroma and delicate muscatel character and cups to a rich color.
As this is a second flush, the leaf is larger (than a first flush) and the taste rich and smooth. While there are some winey notes, the flavor is clean and will linger nicely. Our second-flush Darjeeling is grown at the Puttabong Estate, in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. This black leaf is grown in an area offering a very favorable environment for tea growing – a variable climate, high elevation and plenty of moisture in the soil. As a result, the leaf is strong and offers a very pleasant flavor. Enjoyed as a morning tea, with food, great for a meeting or afternoon tea.
