Description

Admittedly, we are not experts on Indian tea, but this tea tastes great. A rich and full–bodied blend of Darjeelings grown in the Himalayan foothills. This Darjeeling has a flowery aroma and delicate muscatel character and cups to a rich color.

As this is a second flush, the leaf is larger (than a first flush) and the taste rich and smooth. While there are some winey notes, the flavor is clean and will linger nicely. Our second-flush Darjeeling is grown at the Puttabong Estate, in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. This black leaf is grown in an area offering a very favorable environment for tea growing – a variable climate, high elevation and plenty of moisture in the soil. As a result, the leaf is strong and offers a very pleasant flavor. Enjoyed as a morning tea, with food, great for a meeting or afternoon tea.
