製作方式為將果肉挖出後，與茶葉、紫蘇、甘草等材料混合，再塞回挖空果殼內，經過多次反覆的蒸、壓製、烘烤及日曬，約經歷半年製作完成酸柑茶。

喝法是將如石頭般堅硬的酸柑敲碎後，置入茶壺以熱開水沖泡，其口感酸中帶甜，不僅溫潤爽口，茶香與柑香融合的微酸口感令人回味再三。

They use Hutou Gan(a kind of Taiwanese orange) and remove the sour fruits and put tea leaves, perilla, and licorice in the emptied rinds. After about half a year of steaming, processing, roasting and sunning, Bitter Orange Tea is finally completed.

The tea can be had after bitter oranges are put in a teapot full of hot water. It has a bittersweet taste originating from both tea leaves and bitter oranges.
