Our handcrafted Bloodmilk Tea is an ode to Jess, the owner and artist behind Bloodmilk Jewels. I was inspired to create something in Jess’s honor as she has long inspired me in how I regard my business, my co-workers, and my community over the last (almost) 10 years of Bloodmilk Jewels. After meeting Jess in person, our community herbalist and shop manager Brit also wanted to create something that felt angelic and protective, energetically inspired by Jess and Bloodmilk.
My hope is that this tea “brings light to darklings” just as Jess has become a source of comfort and wise words in my personal life as of late. Brit had the brilliant idea of creating a visually beautiful bone-white floral tea with bits of dark red herbs inspired by “blood-milk.” Brit created the delicate herbal and floral base formulation, and I added shredded palo santo (an herb I’ve noticed Jess adores) and coconut milk powder to give the tea its creamy texture. Bloodmilk Tea is perfect for daily sipping, in times when a little comfort is needed, and as a soothing self-care and heart-buffering brew. Please see ingredients below and be aware of any allergies to herbs.
Directions: Use one tablespoon of herbs per 8 oz. of water for tea.
Ingredients: organic coconut milk powder, marshmallow root, jasmine, cinnamon, shredded palo santo, hawthorn berries, and rose petals.
Once finished, the tin can be repurposed for other herbs or treasures.
